"He's dead." Xail approached the girl who jumped out of the way.
"D..dead?" Her eyes grew wide and she moved away from the corpse. Looking at him and seeing the lifelessness in his eyes, she covered her mouth. Acting on impulse, her legs broke into a ran on their own and she darted for her home.
"Wait!" the Shinigami called out with no result. She sighed. "Hnnn. Humans are troublesome." Her wings spread and she took chase after her.
